Twestival
There is this worldwide event being held on February 12th. The best way to describe it would be a massive tweetup. Tickets are being sold, companies are donating gifts, and all the proceeds are going to Charity Water. Just under 200 cities are participating worldwide.
I decided to help with this event when I first heard there would be a Twestival in San Francisco. Spreading the word through online calenders, facebook, twitter, and our own website. The time put into this event has been huge, both for me and the great team I am working with. We are a small team of less then 10 individuals, but I think together we are going to make this into a great event with around 300 attendees.
I have learned some valuable online marketing tactics while helping with this event, and believe that twitter can be used as a great resource for companies to spread there name with the online community. Since this realization I have decided to try and get involved into other great projects that harness the power of online socialization to spread the word about topics of national concern.
The first one
So what is supposed to go here? The is supposed to be the first entry of this so called “blog”. How do you start by just jumping right into some crazy topic or idea? I think I shall slowly dive into this blog; it’s like jumping right into the middle of a story, you get lost. So in that respect I am not making this first post about anything of much importance. This will be an easier transition for both you and me.
There needs to be a system of randomness to these things, ya know? I think this is going to be all that gets put out for this post. I will come back to this thing later. No need to rush.
